WSBR Sponsors Inspiring School Trip to NASA Goddard
Thanks to WSBR’s generous support, 37 bright and curious girls from Colin Powell Academy recently had the opportunity to visit NASA Goddard for a field trip that left a lasting impression on everyone involved.
Led by 6th grade math and science teacher Kendra Rivers, the students engaged directly with NASA staff and asked such thoughtful questions that they were invited back for a special behind-the-scenes visit to the clean room—where parts of the famed James Webb Space Telescope were built.
Even more exciting, several students left the visit inspired to pursue internships with NASA, a testament to how powerful and transformative these kinds of experiences can be.
“This trip truly touched every heart,” Ms. Rivers shared. “None of it would have been possible without WSBR’s support and excitement for our mission. We are incredibly grateful for the opportunity you helped create.”
WSBR is proud to invest in the next generation of scientists, engineers, and explorers—and we look forward to seeing where their curiosity and determination take them next.
